The Google Dance

Last night at around 11:00pm I checked to see how the reorganization of the Google rankings was for for my Nashville Real Estate site www.NashvillesMLS.com Unfortunatley it had dropped completely out of the rankings. Not even on page 2, or page 3....no where.

I then thought I'd better see if I was still ranking for my other key search terms such as Nashville MLS and Nashville Luxury homes. As it turns out I was still ranking at number 1 :)

I know Google has periods of time where they try and improve the relevancy of the results by changing the algorhythmn of the search engine but if you are ranking number one for a couple of months and then findyou are no where it can be a bit of a shock!

Luckily my other sites www.Nashville.com and www.NashvilleBuyers.com are still ranking well so all is not lost. When I checked this morning we were at no.2 again with www.NashvillesMLS.com, and when I rechecked....no where :(

This is known as the Google dance and it seems I'm sat on the side lines waiting to be asked to come back on the dance floor!

I've never enjoyed dancing, especially as being a drummer the first thing people tell me is that "you can dance if you play drums...you should be a natural." Well, I've always had a bit of a conflict because as a drummer I see it as a good sign when people get up and dance when I'm playing in a band. That means they must be enjoying themselves. I, on the other hand, do not enjoy waving my arms around aimlessly to the beat, never have...never will....and right now I'm not enjoying this Google dance...even though this time I'm anxious to be invited back :)

Thats about it for my morning blog. I have to let the dogs out, book my flights to Vancouver to see my webmaster, arrange to list a condo in downtown Nashville. This will be my 3rd listing in the development...and non have sold as yet. Lets hope things improve...I'd like to get the listings into the dance too......

Another Busy Day

I bought a new pillow yesterday! As a result I didn't wake up til almost 8:00am. Thats almost an extra hours sleep!

Actually I'm not sure if it was the new pillow of still getting over this bug I caught Friday the 13th. Anyway...missing an hour can really slow you down and any thoughts of doing a blog as soon as I wake up went out the window.

I have some clients that just bought a home in Traceland Estates in Leipers Fork which is a fantastic small equestrian community with homes that look like they were built in the late 1800's but with all the benefits of modern engineering and technology. I had to arrange the inspections and appraisal so that 5 minute job ened up taking almost an hour....that was before my cup of coffee and bagel :)

I have just discovered a sesame bagel with mozzerralla cheese is a wonderful thing. I think I prefer this to anything else at the moment. may be will be considered healthy....if I like it probably not.

The other good news of the day is that I have some new clients relocating her from Louisiana. oreck is another one of the multinational companies that is relocating its HQ to nashville and as a result I have been dealing with a number of the relocating employees.

My latest clients have a boat and would like to continue being able to use there boat with out having to drive more that 15 minutes or even have it moored at their home. This pretty much narrows things down to homes on Old Hickory Lake. The other requirements led my buyers to Hendersonville. I actually live just outside Hendersonville and have seen a tremendous change in the last few years and the most dramtic is the growth of new subdivision and now the new retail development at Indian Lake. Its over 400 acres of retail and mixed use developments and will rival Cool Springs in Williamson County. This is helping to attract thousands of new residents and Hendersonville is no longer just the sleepy city by the lake where Jonny Cash lived.

Well...thats it...got to get back to work....

Rich...still looking for land!

I was thinking this blog may keep me busy every morning!

Just the mere thought of having to be disciplined to log in and find something interesting to talk about is going to be a real challenge. However, I logged in this morning to find I had one comment from Digital Rich! We had just been talking about his desire for more land in Leipers Fork and low and behold 39 acres is now for sale next to his home. I did my research and came up with........nothing. I couldn't find a new listing for 39 acres so I'll have to dig a little deeper....as well as work on some other deals I have in progress ;)

Still not totally recovered from my weekend illness and to cap it off my bursitis in my elbow is giving me some pain! I guess I should check the spelling of that but its a major pain in my elbow due to inflammation of the joint.

The good new for the weekend is that one of my buyers agents did sell a mini horse farm in Lebanon for just under $1M Now if this was in Leipers Fork who knows what the price would have been....and maybe Rich would have been the buyer ;)

Google has been doing its Google Dance and reorganizing its rankings. I seem to be switching between 1, 2 and no where for the search term "Nashville Real Estate" If you see www.NashvillesMLS.com at number 1 that's me...the bald English guy with an accent on service!

Time to get to work.........

Nashville MLS

Well...it had to happen
All these weeks I've been working with no rest, apart from 4-5 hours sleep a night, and finally I caught some horrible virus/stomach bug that kept me in bed all weekend. Did I mention that it all started Friday the 13th at some social event at Cheekwood in Nashville.

Anyway....seeings as I am sick I have a little more time on my hands and rather than do my taxes ( extension is already applied for :) ) I thought I would take a few moments to create a blog about real estate and in particular the Nashville Tennessee real estate market.

My friend and blogger extraordinaire manages to spend a few minutes every day creating an interesting and thoughtful blog about.....well to find out go to....Digital Rich....and read about it yourself.

I'll try and keep some interesting posts going and give some insights into the Nashville real estate market....in the meantime....back on the road to recovery
